Flow Sling 2.5L

• The back pocket rides against you. A flat pocket on the body side of the bag, so your phone is somewhere you can feel it and nobody behind you can get near it. Swing the bag to the front and it's the easiest pocket to reach.
• The main compartment is weather sealed. A shower on the walk home or a dash for a train doesn't reach what's inside.
• Elastic pockets that actually grip. Not plain sleeves. They stretch around earbuds, a charger or cards and hold them in place rather than letting everything pool in the bottom.
• A zip pocket inside, a pocket on the side, a hook for keys. Three places for the things you'd otherwise lose at the bottom of a one-compartment bag.
• Soft, but it holds its shape. It sits flat and keeps a clean line across your body instead of going shapeless as it empties.
• 300 g, and an adjustable strap. Light enough to forget you're wearing it, with a strap that sets to length and flips the bag to your back when you're cycling or running for a train.
• Built from the same materials as the rest of the range. 420D water-washed nylon with water-resistant zips, the same as the Flow and Urban bags.

Made for people who care about design, simplicity and things working properly, on the days you don't want a backpack but still want your hands free.

What's the back pocket for? Your phone, mostly. It sits flat against your body, so when the bag is behind you there's no getting at it without you feeling it. Swing the bag round to the front and it's the quickest pocket to open. A bit of extra security without any hardware involved.

Does it hold its shape? It's soft, but yes. It keeps a clean line across your body rather than going shapeless as it empties, which is the difference between a well-made sling and a fabric pouch.

How many pockets are there? More than a 2.5L bag usually bothers with. A weather-sealed main compartment, a zip pocket inside the front, a side pocket, the flat back pocket, elastic pockets that grip, and a key hook on a lanyard.

What are the elastic pockets? Stretch pockets rather than plain sleeves, so they close around earbuds, a charger or a few cards and hold them where you put them. It's why a small bag like this doesn't turn into one pile at the bottom.

What actually fits? Phone, wallet, keys, earbuds and a few cards. It's pocket replacement by design, not a day bag. If you want a tablet and a fuller daily kit, the Urban Sling 4.5L is close to twice the capacity.

Is the main compartment really sealed? It's weather sealed, so a five-minute downpour or a shower on the walk home won't reach your phone. That isn't the same as waterproof, so don't go swimming with it.

Can I wear it on my back? Yes. The strap adjusts for length and the bag flips round to your back when you're cycling or running for a train, then swings to the front when you need something out of it.

Where do the keys go? On the key hook, which sits on a short lanyard inside. Keys stay clipped rather than rattling around loose with your phone and sunglasses.

What's the difference versus the Urban Sling 4.5L? Capacity, mainly. Urban 4.5L is close to twice the size and takes an 11 inch tablet; this one is essentials-only. Same materials and the same eye for design in both, and both have the back pocket against your body. Choose Flow if you want to leave the backpack behind entirely, Urban if you still need to carry a tablet.

Does it match the rest of the Flow range? Yes, it's the same 420D water-washed nylon as the Flow 22.5L Backpack and the Flow 1.5L Tech Pouch, so the three look like a set when carried together. Plenty of people buy them that way.

Is it an anti-theft bag? Not in the full sense: there are no locking zips and no RFID pocket. The security here is where the pockets sit, with your phone flat against your body rather than facing out. For locking hardware in a sling, the Everyday Sling 7L has magnetic zips and an RFID card pocket.

What's the warranty, and what if I change my mind? All emmèton bags carry a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase, covering major faults such as torn seams or fabric failure. General wear and tear isn't covered. On top of that you've got 60-day money-back returns.
