What fits besides a tablet? Phone, wallet, keys, sunnies, earbuds and a small charger, comfortably. It's a full day-carry without a backpack, which is the whole point of 4.5L rather than the 1 or 2 litres a sling usually gives you.

Is it an anti-theft bag? Not in the full sense: there are no locking zips and no RFID pocket. What it has is placement. The phone pocket sits against your back where nobody can reach it, and the main zips are on the body side rather than facing out. It's a deterrent built into the design. If you want locking hardware in a sling, the Everyday Sling 7L has magnetic zips and an RFID card pocket.

How does the strap work? It's wide, which matters more than people expect, because a narrow strap digs in once you've got a tablet in the bag. It adjusts for length and the buckle detaches, so you can set it for your left or right side and swing it round to the front without twisting it.

Is it comfortable on a hot day? The back panel and the strap are both aerated mesh, so air keeps moving between you and the bag rather than it sitting flat against your shirt. At 0.4 kg there isn't much to carry before you've packed anything either.

What's the difference versus the Flow Sling 2.5L? Urban 4.5L is close to twice the capacity and takes an 11 inch tablet; the Flow 2.5L is essentials-only, built for phone, wallet, keys and earbuds. Same materials and the same eye for design in both. Choose Urban if you want a real day-carry, Flow if you want pocket replacement.

How does it relate to the Urban 17.5L? It's the sling version of it, from the same maker in the same materials, so the quality and the look carry across. The backpack is for a laptop day; the sling is for everything else.

Is it water-resistant? Yes. 420D water-washed nylon with water-resistant zips, so a shower on the walk home won't reach what's inside. It isn't waterproof and shouldn't be treated as such.
